Method: The series lacks an exact source binding in the source registry (partly bound page): the Swedish Public Employment Service publishes operational statistics monthly without a stable annual-series table carrying publication dates. NOTE: The agency has revised the definition of registered unemployed people several times, including during its 2020–2022 restructuring, when more services were delivered by independent providers and programme-participant registration changed. Comparisons across the full period should be treated as directional indicators, not exactly comparable figures.

Method note
This page combines three measurement systems: SCB's Labour Force Survey (LFS/AKU — monthly sample survey using ILO standards), SCB's register-based employment (RAMS — annual from tax registers), and the Public Employment Service's operational statistics (daily updates of registered jobseekers). The three sources answer different questions and produce different numbers. International comparisons should go via Eurostat/OECD where the ILO definition is harmonised.
