Community guidelines for comments

Comments are user contributions and are not part of SVERIGEFAKTA's verified facts or source review.

  • Factual disagreement is welcome. We moderate behaviour and risk, never opinions.
  • No threats, no harassment or personal attacks.
  • No doxxing: do not post personal identity numbers, phone numbers, addresses or other personal data about anyone.
  • No spam, advertising or repetition.
  • Do not accuse named private individuals of crimes without support.
  • Extra protection for children, victims of crime and sensitive cases.
  • Comments with possible threats, personal data or risky links are reviewed before they are shown. New members' links are also reviewed.
  • You need an account with a confirmed email address and a username to comment, vote or report.
  • Publicly, only your username, your member number and what you write are shown — never your email address.
  • Max 2000 characters. HTML, images and embeds are not allowed. Links are marked as user links.
  • At most 5 comments per minute (2 for new members). Duplicate comments and more than 3 links are blocked.
  • You cannot vote on your own comments.
  • Comments are turned off on events concerning sensitive subjects, for example children, sexual offences against children, suicide or identifiable victims.
  • Reports are reviewed by SVERIGEFAKTA and are not shown to the comment's author. A report is not an automatic violation and does not hide a comment; more reports only mean faster review.
  • Edited comments are marked as edited, with a timestamp.
  • If your comment is hidden or removed you get a notice with the reason. SVERIGEFAKTA never changes what you wrote.
